Title: Control of Communicable Diseases; Importation of Human Remains | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking proposes to codify and clarify current practices, guidance, and statutory authority concerning the importation of human remains. We are also changing the name of the regulation from "Dead Bodies" to "Importation of Human Remains" to further clarify that, in addition to the importation of a whole body, our authority to protect the health of the public extends to portions of deceased bodies, which may be infected with communicable diseases. |
