Abstract:

This proposed rule follows the request for information published December 20, 2018 regarding conflicts of interest in regards to Accrediting Organizations and their ability to provide fee-based consultative services to the same facilities which they accredit as part of their current deeming authority. CMS is also proposing requirements regarding  standards and survey process for conducting review of Accrediting Organizations.
