Abstract:

This proposed rule would solicit the public's views on proposals for the distribution of civil money penalty and monetary settlements with those harmed by a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) offense and on proposals on some of the annual limits on civil money penalties (CMP) under the HITECH Act.
