Title: Oil-Spill Response Requirements for Facilities Located Seaward of the Coast Line | |
Abstract:
The Oil Spill Response Requirements regulations in 30 CFR part 254 were last updated 22 years ago (62 FR 13996, Mar. 25, 1997) and need to be updated to address the latest spill response and preparedness advancements in policies and technologies, lessons learned from the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) incident and recommendations made by the Report to the President and other reviews of the DWH incident, and the recommendations made in the October 2018, report of the Department of Interior Office of the Inspector General, BSEE Has Opportunities to Help Industry Improve Oil Spill Preparedness. |
