Title: Department of State Acquisition Regulation--Revised Contract Numbering 
Abstract:

The Department of State (DOS) is amending the Department of State Acquisition Regulation (DOSAR) subpart 604.16 to establish a process that ensures that each Procurement Instrument Identifier used to identify a solicitation or contract action is unique and Governmentwide, and will remain so for at least 20 years from the date of contract award, as required by FAR 4.1601(a).
