Title: Continuing Education Requirements for Customs Brokers | |
Abstract:
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) plans to seek input on a proposal to issue amendments to CBP regulations which would establish a continued education requirement for licensed customs brokers. The amendments would also allow CBP to accredit a limited number of organizations to evaluate and approve courses offered to meet the continuing education requirement. The Broker Continuing Education Program will increase professionalism within the broker community, recognize certain brokers as subject matter experts, keep brokers up to date on current customs laws and regulations, and improve overall trade compliance. |
