Title: Center for Innovation for Care and Payment | |
Abstract:
VA amends its regulations concerning health care to comply with the recent enactment of the John S. McCain III, Daniel K. Akaka, and Samuel R. Johnson VA Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks Act of 2018 or the VA MISSION Act of 2018. Section 152 of the VA MISSION Act of 2018 codified 38 U.S.C. 1703E, which established the Center for Innovation for Care and Payment, whose purpose is to develop innovative approaches to testing payment and service delivery models to reduce expenditures while preserving or enhancing the quality of care furnished by VA. These changes would be made to ensure successful implementation of section 152 of the VA MISSION Act of 2018. |
