Title: ●Educational Assistance for Certain Former Members of the Armed Forces
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its regulations that govern scholarships to certain health care professionals. This rulemaking would implement the mandates of section 246 of Public Law 115-141, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018, by establishing a pilot program to provide educational assistance to certain former members of the Armed Forces for education and training leading to employment as a VA physician assistant under VA's Educational Assistance for Certain Former Members of the Armed Forces (EACFMAF) program.
