View Rule

The General Services Administration is proposing to amend the rule in the Federal Management Regulation (FMR), to clarify nomenclature; reflect current best practices for security in Federal space under the jurisdiction, custody and control of GSA; refer to current laws, executive orders, and regulations that apply to the subject matter; clarify the responsibilities of agencies for maintaining security standards in federally owned and leased facilities under the jurisdiction, custody and control of GSA; and reorganize the subparts for better readability and clarity. GSA promulgates regulations consistent with the standards set by the Interagency Security Council.
