Abstract:
OPM is proposing a Rule to allow agencies to make up to 10 year term appointments for certain scientific and engineering positions, outlined in the proposed regulation. The purpose of the regulation is to support flexible hiring options for agencies to address longer term scientific endeavors that span several years, yet are not permanent, usually based on funding restrictions, and/or are cyclic and non-career in nature. |
