Title: New England Industry-Funded Monitoring Amendment | |
Abstract:
This rule implements measures for industry funding and prioritizing available Federal funding to pay for additional monitoring, consistent with specific monitoring coverage targets recently set by the New England Fishery Management Council, for New England fishery management plans. Specifically, this action would modify all the New England fishery management plans to allow standardized development of future, plan-specific, industry-funded monitoring programs. This action would also prioritize industry-funded monitoring programs across New England fishery management plans when available Federal funding falls short of the total needed to fully fund all monitoring programs. Finally, this rule implements industry-funded monitoring requirements for the Atlantic Herring fishery management plan. |
