Title: ●Health Care Enrollment System and Payment Options 
Abstract:

This regulatory action proposes to apply the directive given in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2020, section 702. It will, to the maximum extent practicable, automatically withhold TRICARE premium payments from the retired, retainer, or equivalent pay of the member, former member, or dependent. In all other cases, a premium will be paid in a frequency and method determined by Secretary of Defense. This should be done to maximize timely payment of premiums, which in turn ensures uninterrupted access to entitled care for the beneficiary. Impacts to the existing regulation will all be clerical and conforming amendments.
