Title: ●TRICARE Reserve Select Coverage Eligibility for Members of the Selected Reserve | |
Abstract:
This regulatory action proposes to implement the directive given in National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2020, section 701. It will amend the 10 U.S.C. 1076d(a) eligibility criteria to allow a member of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of a reserve component of the armed forces to purchase TRICARE Reserve Select even if the member is eligible for or enrolled in a Federal Employee Health Benefits plan. This option will allow Selected Reserve members the opportunity to purchase the coverage that best meets their needs and budget. Impacts to existing regulation will only be clerical amendments. |
