Title: ●Rights and Obligations of Beneficiaries, Social Security Account Number Disclosure 
Abstract:

This regulatory action proposes to amend 32 CFR 220.9 by striking subsection (d) which requires disclosure of a Social Security Number as an eligibility condition for coverage. The change eliminates the possibility of coverage being terminated or denied due to the lack of Social Security Number after the prescribed grace period and aligns the CFR with regulatory requirements of the TRICARE Health plan. This regulatory action should be done to remove an unnecessary barrier to health care access.
