Title: Definition of Micro-Purchase Threshold (DFARS Case 2018-D056)
Abstract:

DoD is issuing a final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 821 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019. Section 821 amends 10 U.S.C. 2338 by increasing the micro-purchase threshold for the Department of Defense from $5,000 to $10,000. DoD’s threshold is now the same as the micro-purchase threshold being implemented in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) under FAR Case 2018-004. Once the FAR rule to update the micro-purchase threshold definition is published as final, this final rule will remove the obsolete definition of micro-purchase threshold from the DFARS.
