Title: Access to and Conduct on DoD Property
Abstract:

This rule establishes DoD property as controlled areas not generally accessible to the public, provides processes and procedures that members of the public must follow to gain access, and provides notice to the public of what forms of identification they are required to bring with them in order to gain access. This rule is issued in accordance with section 1069 of Public Law 110-181 and section 1086 of Public Law 114-92, which require the Secretary of Defense to develop access standards applicable to all military installations in the United States, to include protocols for determining the fitness of the individual, and standards and methods for verifying the identity of the individual. The codification of this rule supports a recommendation of the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force.
