Title: Privacy Act Exemption Rule for the DoD Personnel Vetting Records System | |
Abstract:
This rule finalizes the exemption for records maintained in DUSDI 02-DoD Personnel Vetting Records System from subsections (c)(3), (d), (e)(1),(4)(G),(H) and (I), and (g) of the Privacy Act. Exemptions from these provisions are necessary to protect sensitive national security information, confidential sources, sensitive law enforcement or counterintelligence activities, potential or actual civil or administrative actions or investigations, protective services provided the President and others, and the privacy of individuals other than the individual receiving a disclosure. |
