Title: Privacy Act Exemption Rule: GNSA 31, NSA/CSS Civil Liberties, Privacy, and Transparency (CLPT Office Correspondence and Complaints Files) | |
Abstract:
NSA/CSS is proposing to add an exemption rule for the system of records, GNSA 31, NSA/CSS Civil Liberties, Privacy and Transparency (CLPT) Office Correspondence and Complaints Files. The exemption is required to ensure respect of information maintained in this system that is provided by the individual, if that person or their agent seeks access or amendment of such information. In addition, to the extent classified material was provided in the first instance, the individual must have the appropriate clearance to access the information. The individual must have appropriate clearance because providing disclosures of records in this system could inform that individual of the existence, nature, or scope of classified information, and thereby result in the unauthorized release of classified records to unauthorized personnel and jeopardize the national defense or foreign policy. |
