Title: ●Revisions to Medicare Part A Enrollments (CMS-4194)
Abstract:

This proposed rule would amend CMS’s regulations to implement section 11 of Executive Order (EO) 13890 entitled "Protecting and Improving Medicare for Our Nation’s Seniors." The EO directed the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in coordination with the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration, to "revise current rules or policies to preserve the Social Security retirement insurance benefits of seniors who choose not to receive benefits under Medicare Part A . . ."  Pursuant to that direction, this rule proposes to allow seniors who receive monthly Social Security or Railroad retirement benefits (SSRB) to disenroll from Medicare Part A without forfeiting their SSRB.
