Title: Visas: Documentation of Nonimmigrants Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended | |
Abstract:
This rule is promulgated to revise the definition of equivalent to a "diplomatic passport” for purposes of the eligibility of foreign nationals to receive a "diplomatic type” visa and to update the categories of nonimmigrants who may be eligible for a "diplomatic type” or "official type” visa. The goal of these revisions is to ensure clarity and consistency with existing U.S. law and practices regarding the entities that the United States considers to have authority to issue travel documents that are valid for the admission of the bearer into the United States. |
