Title: Vehicle Test Procedure Adjustments for Tier 3 Test Fuel
Abstract: This rule will amend vehicle test procedures to account for current transition in the test fuels used for compliance testing under EPA and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) joint greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and corporate average fuel economy standards (CAFE) (77 FR 62624) and EPA's Tier 3 standards (79 FR 23414, April 28, 2014). This would ensure that testing results are consistent across both programs and avoid changes in the stringency of the GHG/Fuel Economy program.
