EPA/OCSPP RIN: 2070-AK55 Publication ID: Spring 2020
Title: Pesticides; Modification to the Minimum Risk Pesticide Listing Program
Abstract: In 1996, EPA promulgated a rule at 40 CFR 152.25 that created a list of minimum risk active and inert ingredients. Few updates to the regulations have been developed and implemented, the most recent being a 2015 rulemaking focusing on identification of ingredients eligible for the exemption. The Agency is considering whether revisions to the procedures and process for this program are warranted. This advance notice of proposed rulemaking would solicit public comment on a variety of issues regarding EPA's Minimum Risk Pesticide Program at 40 CFR 152.25. EPA will seek comment from states, industry and the public on suggested changes to the program.
