Title: ●Community Forest and Open Space Conservation
Abstract:

The Forest Service is seeking to finalize a regulation that implements the Community Forest and Open Space Program (Community Forest Program). Through implementing the Community Forest Program in accordance with the current rule (36 CFR 230 subpart A) the Forest Service identified some inconsistencies in definitions and identified opportunities to increase efficiency by reducing the application burden. Publication of the final rule will provide needed clarity and reduce the burden of the application process. A proposed rule that would address these concerns was published on December 8, 2015 (Vol. 80, No.235).
