Title: Fisheries Off West Coast States; West Coast Salmon Fisheries; Approving Rebuilding Plans for Three Overfished Coho Salmon Stocks
Abstract:

This action will propose approval of rebuilding plans for three stocks of coho salmon. In 2018, NMFS determined that two stocks of Chinook salmon and three stocks of coho salmon were overfished. NMFS notified the Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) of this determination on June 18, 2018. The Council adopted rebuilding plans for the three coho stocks and recommend them to NMFS in September 2019. The rebuilding plans approved by NMFS will be used in the development of annual management measures for ocean salmon fisheries, until NMFS determines that the overfished stocks are rebuilt. Rebuilding plans for the two overfished Chinook plans will be addressed under a separate rulemaking.
