View Rule

This rule, which was last codified on December 29, 2011 (76 FR 81808), established policy, assigned responsibilities, and provided procedures for operational contract support (OCS), including OCS program management, contract support integration, and integration of defense contractor personnel into contingency operations outside the United States. This proposed rule will modify the existing part to remove unnecessary internal policy, as well as broaden the range of operational scenarios and make other updates in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2333. Internal DoD Policy (DoD Instruction 3020.41, "Operational Contract Support (OCS)") will be updated to be consistent with the updates made in part 158 and publicly available once this rule publishes. The modification of 32 CFR part 158 supports a recommendation of the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force.
