Title: Federal Funding for Medicaid Enterprise Systems (CMS-2433) 
Abstract:

This proposed rule aims to improve the return on investment for Medicaid mechanized claims processing and information retrieval systems funded under the Social Security Act (SSA 1903(a)(3)(A)(i) and (B)). The rule proposes new definitions for the Medicaid enterprise systems and for operations, strengthens and modernizes the conditions for enhanced funding, and promotes transparency through reporting on investment outcomes. The rule would eliminate the availability of enhanced match for users of the systems, including eligibility workers (previously defined in 80 FR 75817, 75820 Dec. 4, 2015).
