Title: Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act; Operating in High-Pressure and/or High-Temperature (HPHT) Environments | |
Abstract:
Currently, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) reviews and approves high pressure and/or high temperature (HPHT) projects under its existing regulations. Based on these regulations, BSEE issued multiple guidance documents clarifying the specific HPHT information prospective operators should submit to BSEE to support the bureau’s programmatic reviews and approvals of such projects. This rulemaking would formally codify BSEE’s existing process for reviewing and approving projects in HPHT environments. |
