Abstract:
We propose to reclassify the beach layia (Layia carnosa), a plant that occurs in California, from an endangered to a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act). This proposed reclassification is based on our evaluation of the best available scientific and commercial information. We also propose to issue protective regulations pursuant to section 4(d) of the Act that are necessary and advisable to provide for the conservation of beach layia. |
