We will make a final listing determination on our proposal to list the longsolid (Fusconaia subrotunda) and round hickorynut (Obovaria subrotunda) as threatened species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended, with section 4(d) rules. Both mussels are found in the southeastern United States. If we finalize this rule as proposed, it would add these species to the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and extend the Act’s protections to the species. We also propose to designate critical habitat for these species under the Act. For the longsolid, we propose to designate approximately 1,115 river miles (1,794 kilometers) in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. For the round hickorynut, we propose to designate approximately 921 river miles (1,482 kilometers) in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.
