Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Seven Pangolins Due to Similarity of Appearance to Temnick's Ground Pangolin | |
Abstract:
We will make a listing determination for seven pangolin species due to similarity of appearance (under section 4(e) of the Endangered Species Act) with the listed Temnick's ground pangolin. These species are: Philippine pangolin (Manis culionensis), Chinese pangolin (Manis pentadactyla), Sunda pangolin (Manis javanica), Indian pangolin (Manis crassicaudata), giant pangolin (Manis gigantean), long-tailed pangolin (Manis tetradactyla), and tree pangolin (Manis tricuspis). These pangolins are found in: Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Brunei, Cameroon, Cental African Republic, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia. |
