Title: Procedures for Permitting Electricity Transmission Facilities at International Boundaries | |
Abstract:
The rulemaking addresses Presidential action to permit the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of facilities for the transmission of electric energy across international boundaries pursuant to Executive Order 10485, as amended by Executive Order 12038. The proposed amendments are intended to accommodate changes that have occurred in the electric power industry since the rule was last amended on December 31, 1981, in 46 FR 63209. Previously, the rule was amended on October 28, 1980 at 45 FR 71560. The changes that have occurred in the electric power industry include bulk power market restructuring and the rise of Regional Transmission Organizations. |
