The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a proposed rule clarifying amendments to the test procedure for distribution transformers to revise and add definitions for certain terms, to incorporate revisions based on the latest versions of the relevant Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) industry standards, and to specify the basis for voluntary representations at additional per-unit loads (PULs) and additional reference temperatures. It should be noted that the proposed rule has been inadvertently published under the wrong RIN 1904-AB39. The correct RIN is 1904-AE19. The final rule as well as any further action will be published as RIN 1904-AE19.
