Title: ●Withdrawal of Certain Federal Water Quality Criteria Applicable to Maine | |
Abstract:
In a series of decisions in 2015, EPA disapproved several water quality standards for tribal waters in Maine and a few water quality standards for Maine waters outside of tribal lands. On December 19, 2016 EPA issued a final rule that promulgated replacement water quality standards. EPA's final rule took effect on January 18, 2017. EPA is proposing to withdraw its promulgation for some of these water quality standards for which EPA has approved replacement water quality standards adopted by the state in 2020. |
