Title: High Elevation Airport Operations
Abstract: This action would revise regulations so that airplane type designs can include cabin pressurization and oxygen systems suitable for operations into and out of airports with elevations that exceed 8,000 feet. In addition, this action would eliminate the need for industry to submit a request for exemption to oxygen regulations (for airplanes used for operations into and out of airports with an elevation above 14,000 feet). This action would also harmonize Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) practices with those of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
