Title: State Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Action Plans | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking is required by section 11401(b) of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act). The NPRM would require each state and the District of Columbia to each submit (or re-submit) to the FRA a highway-rail grade crossing action plan. The NPRM would also require each of the ten states that were previously required to develop a highway-rail grade crossing action plan by the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008 to update their plan and submit a report that describes how the state implemented its existing plan and how the state will continue to reduce highway-rail grade crossing safety risks. |
