Title: High Seas Driftnet Fishing Moratorium Protection Act: Revision of Regulations for the Identification and Certification of Nations | |
Abstract:
NMFS intends to revise the regulations defining the criteria and process for identification and certification of nations with vessels engaged in illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, bycatch of protected living marine resources and unsustainable shark catch on the high seas. Such identifications and certifications are made under provisions of the High Seas Driftnet Fishing Moratorium Protection Act. This rulemaking action would implement said criteria and process revisions.
