Title: ●Pacific Island Fisheries; Electronic Logbooks | |
Abstract:
In response to action by the Western Pacific Fishery Management Council, NMFS proposes to require Federally-permitted pelagic longline fishing vessels to record their logbook data electronically, rather than on paper as is the current practice. The Council recommended this proposed action to increase accuracy and reduce data processing time. The intent of this action is improved fishery monitoring and catch forecasting. |
