Title: ●Modify Gulf of Mexico Gray Triggerfish Catch Limits
Abstract:

The proposed rule would increase the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf) gray triggerfish acceptable biological catch, annual catch limits, and annual catch targets consistent with the gray triggerfish interim analysis and subsequent Southeast Fisheries Science Center, Gulf Council Science and Statistical Committee, and the Gulf Reef Fish Advisory Panel recommendations.  The need for the rule is to establish catch limits that achieve optimum yield consistent with the requirements of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, while preventing overfishing.
