DOJ/DEA RIN: 1117-AB57 Publication ID: Spring 2021
Title: Amending Regulations To Require Electronic Submission of DEA Form 106
Abstract:

This rule amends regulations 1301.74 and 1301.76 regarding DEA Form 106 to clarify that all submissions of the form must be submitted electronically. Currently, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) as written allows for both electronic submission and for the form to be submitted in writing to the registrant’s nearest DEA Field Office. DEA wants to streamline the submission process and allow for the forms to be submitted in a secure online database, and to clarify any existing confusion about the submission process.
