Title: ●Innovative Assessment Demonstration Authority | |
Abstract:
Implemented in 2016, this new flexibility was provided under ESSA to States to pilot innovative assessments as an alternative to a State’s current summative assessments and the use of assessments for accountability purposes before scaling statewide. The Department will issue regulations to support States in developing higher-quality assessment systems that can be better used to assess student learning and inform instruction in ways that improve teaching and learning. |
