Abstract:

This rulemaking would propose requirements to protect pedestrian heads impacting vehicle hoods. NHTSA initiated this rulemaking following the establishment of the Global Technical Regulation (GTR) by the UNECEs World Forum for the Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29).
