Abstract:
The General Services Administration is amending FMR part 102-83 to promote the economy and efficiency in the planning, acquisition, utilization, and management of Federal space facilities, and to conform to the requirements of Executive Order 13946 titled, "Targeting Opportunity Zones and Other Distressed Communities for Federal Site Locations." The rule will implement Executive Order 13946, which amends Executive Orders 12072 and 13006, to give preference to qualified opportunity zones, other distressed areas and centralized community business areas in the process for meeting Federal space needs, except where such selection is otherwise prohibited and where cost and security considerations take precedence. |
