Abstract:

The General Services Administration is proposing to amend the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) by adding definitions for coach class, contract City Pair Program, direct route, extra fare train, premium class, premium economy class, and usually traveled route to the glossary of terms; adopting recommendations from agencies and the Senior Travel Officials Council to simplify the FTR; consolidating duplicative regulations pertaining to the use of common carrier transportation accommodations; removing outdated regulations; sequencing common carrier regulations for a more logical order; and making miscellaneous editorial corrections.
