Title: Incentive-Based Compensation Arrangements | |
Abstract:
The National Credit Union Administration, Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Housing Finance Agency, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and Securities and Exchange Commission proposed a joint rule to implement section 956 of the Dodd-Frank Act in 2016. Section 956 requires the regulators to issue regulations or guidelines prohibiting incentive-based compensation arrangements that the regulators determine encourage inappropriate risks and require institutions to disclose information about the structure of their incentive-based compensation plans to the appropriate regulator. The regulators continue to discuss this issue. |
