Title: ●Consolidation, Organization, Simplification, and Clarification of General Prohibition Three: Foreign-Produced Direct Product Rules | |
Abstract:
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the Department of Commerce, is moving and reorganizing the provisions of the foreign-produced direct product (FPDP) rules, which appear in two different parts of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), to the part of the Export Administration Regulations EAR that explains what is subject to the EAR and the section of the EAR that sets forth license requirements pertaining to the Entity List. In addition, this rule adds definitions that will assist the reader in the application of these regulations. This rule also simplifies and clarifies requirements for ease of application of the FPDP rules. These revisions are necessary to assist readers to more easily navigate and apply the FPDP rules. |
