Title: When Social Security Numbers May Be Included on Mailed Documents | |
Abstract:
The Social Security Fraud Prevention Act of 2017 requires us to prescribe regulations specifying the circumstances when it is necessary for us to include a Social Security number on documents we mail. The law also requires that Social Security numbers are not visible on the outside of any package we mail. |
