Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassifying Smooth Coneflower as Threatened With Section 4(d) Rule | |
Abstract:
This final rule will make a determination on our proposal to reclassify from endangered to threatened the smooth coneflower (Echinacea laevigata) due to improvements in the species’ overall status since the original listing in 1992, and to establish a rule under section 4(d) of the Act for the protection of smooth coneflower. This species, which is a perennial herb in the aster family (Asteraceae), is found in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. |
