Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Pearl Darter
Abstract:

This final rule will make a determination on our proposal to designate critical habitat for the pearl darter (Percina aurora) under the Endangered Species Act. This fish is found in Mississippi and is listed as threatened. In total, approximately 517 river miles (832 river kilometers) in 13 counties in Mississippi fall within the boundaries of the proposed critical habitat designation. If FWS finalizes this rule as proposed, it would extend the Act’s protections to this species' critical habitat as described in the proposed rule.
