Title: Migratory Birds; Agency Species Protection Permit | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would authorize government agencies to take migratory birds to protect species of concern, such as endangered and threatened species. This activity is already occurring. However, current regulations are ill-suited to authorize this activity, creating administrative burden and legal risk for the Service and permittees. This proposed rule would clarify scope and expectations, and reduce administrative burden and legal risk.
