Title: ●Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Grant Program | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would propose changes to the Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Program ("program"). The program was authorized under Public Law 106-553 (December 21, 2000), which amended the Wildlife Restoration Act (16 U.S.C. 669) as a separate grant program, but the program was not perpetually funded. Annual appropriations have provided funds for the State and Tribal wildlife grant programs. The proposed rule would provide details on how the FWS intends to administer the program and would provide consistency in how the benefits of the grant program are used to better serve the public. |
